Terms and Conditions

1.1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), read together with our Privacy Policy, form a legally binding agreement between you and Coding Infotech ("TrueHostel"), which operates the TrueHostel website and mobile applications (the "Platform").

By browsing listings or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform.

2.Definitions

• "User" means any person who accesses or uses the Platform to search for hostel or paying guest (PG) information.
• "Property Owner" means the owner, operator, manager or authorized agent of a hostel or paying guest accommodation who lists that property on the Platform.
• "Listing" means the property description, contact details, address, photographs, amenities, tariff and other information published by a Property Owner.
• "Platform Services" means the listing display and directory services that TrueHostel provides, allowing Users to discover and contact Property Owners directly.
• "Accommodation Services" means the actual hostel or PG accommodation, facilities, and services provided by the Property Owner directly to the User. TrueHosteldoes not provide these services.

3.Our role: we are a listing directory, not a service provider

READ THIS CAREFULLY — it defines what we are and what we are NOT responsible for.

TrueHostel is an intermediary platform under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. We are a free listing/directory service that displays hostel and PG owner contact details and property information. We are NOT a marketplace, booking platform, or payment processor.

Key points:

• We do not handle bookings: Users directly contact Property Owners using the contact information displayed on the Platform.
• We do not collect payments: TrueHostel charges Users NOTHING. No booking fees, no convenience fees, no registration charges. All arrangements and payments are entirely between User and Property Owner.
• We do not own or operate properties: We have no ownership, control or management of any property listed on the Platform.
• We do not guarantee accuracy: We do not guarantee that Listing information is accurate, current or complete. Property Owners are solely responsible for the accuracy of their Listings.
• We are not responsible for accommodation quality, safety, or disputes:All disputes regarding accommodation, facilities, cleanliness, safety, behavior, or any other matter related to the actual stay are solely between the User and Property Owner.

We claim the protection available to intermediaries under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. We do not initiate transmissions, select their receivers, or modify the information contained in Listings or user communications.

4.Eligibility and Account Registration

To use the Platform you must be at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter into agreements under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

You agree that:

• The information you provide is true, accurate, and complete;
• You will not create duplicate accounts or impersonate others;
• You will use the Platform only for finding hostel or PG accommodation and will not use it for unlawful purposes, harassment, fraud, or spam;
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential;
• You will notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

5.Listings and Property Information

All Listings are created and published by Property Owners. TrueHostel provides a platform to display this information but does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of any Listing.

Property Owners are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and completeness of their Listing information
• The legality of their property and operations
• Compliance with all local laws, regulations, and registration requirements
• The quality, cleanliness, safety, and security of their property
• Describing amenities, facilities, house rules, and tariffs truthfully

We may remove, edit, or suspend any Listing that we reasonably believe is inaccurate, unlawful, or violates these Terms, without prior notice or liability.

Photographs in Listings are indicative and may not represent current conditions exactly.

6.Your Obligations as a User

You agree to:

• Use the Platform only to search for and contact Property Owners about hostel or PG accommodation;
• Provide accurate information about yourself when contacting Property Owners;
• Be honest about your stay duration, number of occupants, and any special requirements;
• Respect all house rules and local laws during your stay;
• Not use the Platform for any illegal purpose, fraud, harassment, abuse, or spam;
• Not scrape, crawl, or systematically extract Property Owner contact information;
• Not post false, defamatory, or harassing content;
• Negotiate rent, deposits, and terms directly with Property Owners. TrueHostel plays no role in these negotiations.

7.Direct Contact Between User and Property Owner

All arrangements are directly between you and the Property Owner.

TrueHostel displays contact details so that Users can reach Property Owners directly. The Platform is a communication channel only. Once you initiate contact:

• You communicate directly with the Property Owner, not with TrueHostel;
• All terms — rent, deposit, notice period, occupancy duration, house rules — are negotiated directly with the Property Owner;
• All payments are made directly to the Property Owner, never through TrueHostel;
• Any disputes about accommodation, facilities, lease terms, or refunds are resolved directly between you and the Property Owner, not through TrueHostel.

8.Payment Terms — Users vs. Property Owners

FOR USERS: TrueHostel IS COMPLETELY FREE. We charge Users NO fees whatsoever — not for browsing, searching, contacting Property Owners, or any other service.

As a User, you will NEVER pay TrueHostel any amount. All rent, deposits, meal charges, and other fees are paid directly to the Property Owner.

FOR PROPERTY OWNERS: Subscription Fee Model. Hostel and PG Owners pay a subscription fee to TrueHostel to list their properties, facilities, and contact details on the Platform. This subscription allows Property Owners to reach potential Tenants searching for accommodation.

All payments to TrueHostel are non-refundable. Subscription, renewal and Featured listing fees, with the GST and platform fee on them, are not refunded in whole or in part once paid, for any reason. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

If anyone claiming to represent TrueHostel asks you (a Tenant) for money, do not pay. Report it immediately to [email protected].

9.Disclaimer of Liability

READ THIS CAREFULLY.

TrueHostel is a listing directory only. We make NO warranties, guarantees, or representations regarding:

• The accuracy, completeness, or currency of Listing information;
• The quality, condition, cleanliness, safety, or suitability of any property;
• The truthfulness or trustworthiness of any Property Owner or User;
• The legality of any property or whether it complies with local regulations;
• The availability of amenities, facilities, or services described in a Listing;
• The conduct, reliability, or trustworthiness of Property Owners or other Users;
• The safety of persons or property during a stay;
• The enforceability or legality of any terms agreed between User and Property Owner.

Users enter into arrangements with Property Owners at their own risk. TrueHostel accepts no liability for any disputes, losses, injuries, damages, or claims arising from or related to:

• The quality or condition of accommodation or facilities;
• Personal safety, security, theft, or property damage during a stay;
• Disputes over rent, deposits, lease terms, or refunds;
• Breach of house rules or landlord-tenant disputes;
• Inaccuracy or incompleteness of Listing information;
• Actions or omissions of Property Owners or other Users;
• Any services provided by Property Owners;
• Use of the Platform itself.

10.Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Both Parties agree that the courts of India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms.

In case of any dispute between a User and a Property Owner, both Parties are encouraged to resolve it through direct negotiation. TrueHostel shall not intervene in or adjudicate any such disputes.

11.Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Post false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or abusive content;
• Harass, threaten, or abuse any Property Owner or User;
• Attempt to defraud or impersonate others;
• Share contact details of Property Owners outside the Platform without permission;
• Scrape, crawl, or extract Property Owner data systematically;
• Use automated tools or bots to access the Platform;
• Attempt to bypass security measures or access restricted areas;
• Post spam, promotional content, or advertisements (unless authorized);
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose;
• Infringe on anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently close your account if you violate these Terms.

12.Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

TrueHostel and its design, logos, and platform features are the intellectual property of Coding Infotech. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute them without permission.

Property Owners retain ownership of their Listing content. By publishing a Listing on TrueHostel, Property Owners grant us a non-exclusive license to display and distribute that Listing on the Platform.

Users grant TrueHostel a non-exclusive license to use any feedback, comments, or reviews you post, for improving the Platform.

13.Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUEHOSTEL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED ₹100 (ONE HUNDRED RUPEES).

14.Termination

We reserve the right to terminate, suspend, or restrict your access to the Platform at any time, without liability, if:

• You violate these Terms;
• You engage in fraud, harassment, abuse, or unlawful conduct;
• We believe your use is harmful to the Platform or to other Users;
• You repeatedly post false or misleading information.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as limitations of liability and governing law) shall continue in effect.

16.Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform and updating the "Last Updated" date below. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
